He initially learned fusing from Michael Riffkind and kiln casting from Barbara Bernstein at Kittrell-Riffkind Artglass studio in Addison. In 2006 he attended Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with a "working deep" class taught by Brad and Jodi Walker.

Merry and Lonnie Creager built a stained glass studio in 2004 where they enjoyed making artglass and holding stained glass and fused glass classes in Ennis, Texas. They have now moved to a new location and have a studio in their home.
